HELLO!

I am a qualified Personal Trainer based in Gloucestershire, UK. I hold a Level 2 Gym Instructor, Level 3 Personal Trainer and Level 3 GP Referral qualifications. I am currently enhancing my knowledge by studying and completing a Level 4 Nutrition and Weight Management qualification.

 

My clients have come to me wanting to build confidence using the equipment in the gym, especially in the free-weights area. Clients have also reached out for extra support with fat loss, muscle strength and rehabilitation programs.

I specialise in Sports Specific Training, alongside creating programs for clients who want to lose fat, gain a better understanding and relationship with Nutrition and food, and Goal Setting and Identifying Barriers.

A BIT ABOUT ME

I have participated in sports since 2004 when I first started karate at the age of 5. Throughout this time, I have achieved numerous accolades which include grading to my 3rd Dan Black Belt in August 2018, and more recently becoming 2x runner up in the 18-34 yr old female Black Belt Open Division at the 2019 World Cup held in Milton Keynes, UK.

I have represented my club and Team GB in competitions in Australia and Japan, as well as more locally in Ireland and Wales. 

​

I studied sports coaching and anatomy throughout my school and college years which has helped me become a specialist PT in sports specific training, as I was able to learn in depth about each sport, and gain an understanding of what training principles are needed to benefit athletes in various sports. Also during my time in school and college, I trained in strength and conditioning exercise with Athlete Academy which had a great impact on my karate training.

Once I had finished training with Athlete Academy, I went and completed a couple of weeks work experience there to enhance my sports specific training and coaching even more. I was able to plan sessions for numerous sports, including football, rugby, swimming and wheelchair basketball and tailor it to the sport, as well as the individual's goals. I believe this has helped me become the coach today and be the reason I now specialise in sports specific training.

1-1 PERSONAL TRAINING PACKAGE

Whether you are looking at building strength or reducing your body fat mass and increasing your muscle mass, this plan is the one for you!

Number of sessions per week are discussed and agreed during your free consultation, and each session you will work on different aspects of training, and complete different exercises to help you achieve your goals. 

​

But Sophie, what makes it a package? Well, you will receive a lot of extra benefits by joining this plan. This benefits will help you remain accountable towards your training and your goals. These include,  Weekly check-ins, 4-weekly reviews, access to my Facebook support group, nutrition support and more.

GROUP SESSIONS

Whether you want to train with your friends and family, or go it alone and make new friends, my group sessions are perfect for you! They're fun, supportive and will leave you feeling great after 1 hour of training. 

​

Group sessions run for 12 weeks at a time and will have you seeing improvements in your cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility and balance and your confidence. This will all be achieved by using medicine balls, resistance bands, battle ropes and body weight exercises. 

​

I am also Emergency First Aid Qualified and hold an up to date DBS which means you can train with your kids and all have fun together. Family discounts apply.

ONLINE TRAINING PACKAGE
